If you’re going to participating in a country club, there are some things you need to know. For starters, costs can certainly vary for membership, as there are some pretty prestigious organizations out there. How much are you willing to spend?
It can be difficult to get into some of the most prestigious clubs, with memberships costing as much as a million dollars. Then you also have to worry about those dues you pay each year. Even the country clubs that cost less money still charge quite a bit, up to a quarter of a million or the membership and tens of thousands for the dues. Is there anything cheaper?
Yes, there are also working class country clubs. That doesn’t mean that these clubs are any less cool to join. If it were me, I wouldn’t want to be in the middle of a posh country club anyway the way things are setup. You can also find executive country clubs that are cheaper. If you find one that is free to join, that is great, but just remember that you are still going to be responsible for yearly dues.
How many country clubs are in your city? Look around, perhaps even outside the city. Don’t just think about cost, as you also want to be sure that you look more into what the clubs offer as well. Of course, if a million dollar country club isn’t in your budget, why bother looking at it? There will be an application to join the club you choose, and you will have to follow their guidelines.
